Labundi.com was created with a purpose to send out a SOS message to net users around the world that climate change is real and concerning.

Global warming is the issue that are known to the world for years. Goverments and organisations are doing their best to help the climate, but are they quick enough to prevent the worst of the climate change to come? Nasa reports in december 2007 show that the Artic Ice is melting at a higher rate than expected.

What is Labundi?

Labundi means "search" in Wagiman. Wagiman is a language spoken by Aborigines in Australia's Northern Territory. This language is nearly extinct and spoken by less than 10 people in and around Pine Creek, in the Katherine Region of the Northern Territory.

Labundi.com was inspired by the idea of Earth Hour, an international event which was first held in Sydney on 31 March 2007 where households and businesses turn off their lights for one hour in the evening at 7.30PM. The background for this website is set as black to remind us to turn off all electrical appliances and lights in rooms which are not in use.
